OVERVIEW OF A PETRANGOLA

Petrangola is a commerce card game playable by 3 to 12 people, though said to be best with 6 or 7. The goal of the game is to outlast your opponents and be the final player remaining.

Below is a list of all the keonhacai variations. For the original game rules check here.

VARIATIONS

A possible variation has to do with knocking. If you have a sequence or a run and knock you must play the cards in front of you. This allows the other players to see what they are attempting to beat.

The next few variations dealt with ranking.

Some games play that the ace can rank high or low. This means Aces can also be used as the lowest ranked card in sequences.

In some games runs rank higher than sequences.

There is also a variation that changes the ranking of runs to be more traditional with a run of kings being the highest possible run and a run of 2s being the lowest.

Another popular variation is used to lengthen the gameplay. Players start with 5 tokens rather than 3.

It is also possible to allow players to buy in multiple times or to increase or decrease the buy in for the game.

CONCLUSION

There are many variations for this popular game. However, as always, discuss with your play group before choosing to use a variation for a game.
